Schedule My Steps

I loved all of your ideas about how to get more steps into my day. As my first effort, I'm going to schedule 'walks' with my Walk Away the Pounds videos. I know that if I don't schedule a time to do them then there will always be an excuse not to. I have to do this with my chores as well... so I know it works for me. If the research I've read is correct, then 5 miles equals about 10,000 steps, which is a good goal for the average adult. If I do my 4 mile video walk each day then I know I can get the remaining 2,000 steps during my regular daily routine. I'm hoping that this is the key to see the scale begin to move again. My eating habits are pretty good, so the exercise is all that is missing. Even though I'm at a healthy weight 'technically', I don't feel comfortable in my own skin; and I don't like that feeling. Maybe by the end of the summer I can be back where I'd like to be! I'll keep you posted.
I haven't posted a recipe in a while; mainly because I haven't found anything interesting to share. As we're getting ready for our upcoming trip to Jordan I've been putting my dehydrator in overtime getting lots of fruit ready to bring along. I know that not all of you have a dehydrator, but for those of you who do; here's a good recipe for a healthy treat:

Apple Leather
Spread unsweetened applesauce evenly onto the fruit leather tray of your dehydrator, about 1/4" to 3/8" thick. Dehydrate for about 6-8 hours or until no longer moist. Peel off and enjoy!

Okay, I know that's super simple, but if you're in the mood for candy, this is sure to calm those cravings, and give you a serving of fruit at the same time.... with no sugar!

I pray that all of you have a good week and glorify God in your body!

I love the Walk away the Pounds videos. Sounds like you have a great plan in place so your on your way to your multitude of steps.

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail

One of these days I'll have to get a dehydrator!

Well, I think I'm getting all my necessary steps in but I need to force myself to do some core training. My middle section is weak! I try to justify it by citing all the pregnancies but the truth is I haven't really done much to try to tone it. I've got to work that goal into my plan somehow.
